There have been some pretty gruesome shows on television exposing gore, up-close operations and copious amounts of blood leaking from places you couldn’t fathom. However, the television show “Botched” takes the rawness of surgery shows like “Untold Stories of the ER” to another level by adding a comedic and queasy twist to plastic surgeries gone wrong.
Reality television will always be a formation of non-realistic and methodically scripted performances to appear as “real” for the viewers at home. Nevertheless, this E! show makes it almost impossible NOT to watch as doctors make repugnant attempts to fix previous plastic surgery mishaps by prior inadequate surgeons.
Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow are the two favorably renowned plastic surgeons that cover the surgeries in this highly controversial show. The Beverly Hills surgeons command your undivided attention as they showcase their clinical talents, placing many diverse individuals under the knife for the world to see.

The first episode I happened to see while casually cooking dinner one evening was specifically on a male who had received 132 plastic surgeries, six of them resulting in a botched appearance.
Botch: carry out (a task) badly or carelessly.
After Justin, “The Human Doll,” had already withstood 132 plastic surgery procedures, he found it effortless to undergo even more surgeries with Nassif and Dubrow to fix his botched appearance and past procedures. Many others also come into the surgical office begging for both minor and dramatic surgeries.
The show encompasses minor humor as well, for instance when we meet Adam. This male, dressed head to toe in sequins as he first appears on the show, entitles himself to be the self-proclaimed number one Madonna imitator. Also known as Venus Delight, he happily cries, “Half my face is fake!” and goes on to even try and teach the surgeons how to vogue like Madonna.
We must not forget Toby Sheldon, who claimed to be pop-star Justin Bieber’s biggest fan and underwent over $100,000 worth of surgeries to look just like an exact replica of The Biebs.

So, folks, right when you thought the world couldn’t be filled with anymore madcap absurdity and once you finally found closure knowing Mary Shelly’s novel “Frankenstein” was all just a story, the world takes a turn again. If you need a thorough laugh, count on “Botched” to deliver a multitude of various modern Frankensteins who are proud to affirm that high cost payments and unbearable pain are undoubtedly worth the fresh plastic.
