If you’re down with funky, groovy, eclectic electronic tunes that guaranteed a cut up rug, Gramatik is your man.

The Slovenian musician is notorious for incorporating jazz, blues and soul influences into his productions, reflective of the music he grew up listening to as a child. As a teenager, he started making beats and, through the power of free file sharing, eventually started building a serious following. Having signed to Pretty Lights’ music label, Gramatik’s policy of releasing his music for free is still a massive part of his career, taking serious stances against policies that restrict or censor Internet access as well as naming his most recently released EP #digitalfreedom. You also may have heard his recent collaboration with Griz, the insanely funkified Grizmatik.

Coming through Gainesville for his Age of Reason tour, he’ll be in town tonight. Check out a couple of his tracks and make your way to the show to make something interesting of your usual snooze fest of a Tuesday night.
