Study Edge means a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

To some, it’s a “major key” to success more valuable than any advice DJ Khaled could give. To others, it’s the cool mom that helps you with your homework before letting you binge drink from the family liquor cabinet.

To the people that work there, it’s the best fucking job in Gainesville.

Study Edge was started in the summer of 2011 by most of the former tutors from Tutoring Zone. After investing in a spot close to campus, comfortable movie theater chairs (preach) and those infamous blue packets, they’ve been dominating the local market.

The company has the fun, fresh feel of a young startup with the stability of a secure company.

“Everyone that works here doesn’t really take life too seriously,” Study Edge COO Nicole Wampole said.

Study Edge’s company culture is laidback, collaborative and flexible. Staff works hours on their own schedules, meaning nobody has to sacrifice a social life to earn great money.

Big bank aside, getting a chance to work with cool coworkers is a huge plus. From company parties to regular happy hours, the team kicks it outside of work and genuinely likes each other. (Yes, Chris Morley can solve a finance birthday problem blackout.)

Known for employing some of the smartest people in Gainesville, Study Edge lets staff tackle their own projects and use their personalities to help students learn.

Rich, Zach, Jenn, Chris…the Study Edge tutors quickly rise to the ranks of local celebrity. (We’re not sure if it’s due to their amazing teaching skills or their amazingly crude college humor.)

“Having people around Gainesville stop you on the street or in a bar and thank you for helping them get A’s in their classes is pretty awesome,” said chemistry and economics Study Expert Peter Disabb.
