Curren$y Makes It an Exclusive at High Dive

Curren$y, an OG of the smart-rap movement, will perform at High Dive on Thursday, January 28th, as part of a very rare three-show tour in the south.

This promises to be a pretty special performance, as the show is only one of three confirmed for this year so far.

Curren$y gained traction in the rap world via a chance encounter with Lil Wayne, when he signed with Cash Money Records. Joining the rank of upper-echelon rappers, signing with more labels and releasing seven undergrounds put the performer on the map.

There hasn’t been too much (pilot) talk about Spitta since his eighth studio album release, Canal Street Confidential, on December 4th, 2015. Despite the N’awlins native’s large repertoire of over 30 mixtapes, The Hot Spitta is still seeing uncharted success. His first single from Canal Street Confidential, “Bottom of the Bottle,” feat. Lil Wayne, is the 34-year-old’s highest charting single. Take a listen to Canal Street Confidential- he’s sure to blast these new verses at High Dive!

The renaissance man of a rapper continues his hard work showcasing Canal Street Confidential, featuring other big-name artists like Wiz Khalifa, Future, Lil Wayne and Ty Dollar $ign. Curren$y’s previous albums, This Ain’t No Mixtape and Jet Files are also worth nothing, as well as a creation of his own imprint: Jet Life Recordings.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on TicketFly here.
