Politics are confusing. With a playing field this big, it’s hard to know where each of the 2016 presidential candidates stands on the issues.
But the choices these rich old people make directly impact the country we live in, so it’s important to be informed when the election rolls around in November of 2016.

ECONOMY
-Wants broad tax cuts
-Open to the idea of eliminating income taxes
-Wants to reduce property taxes
-Plans to reform or change federal entitlement programs
-Wants to limit the powers of unions and establish “right to work” laws
GOVERNMENT SIZE
-Wants to get rid of the Common Core State Standards Initiative
-Wants to privatize some government services
OBAMACARE
-Wants to repeal and replace it
FOREIGN POLICY
-Willing to send ground troops into Iraq and Syria to combat ground troops – “If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same across the world.”
-Wants to renege on the Iran nuclear deal
-Wants to arm Ukraine against Russian-backed rebels
-Opposes normalization with Cuba
IMMIGRATION
-Stated that there are too many legal immigrants
-Opposes citizenship for illegal immigrants but supports offering an opportunity for some form of legal status for them
-Wants greater border security
-Plans to strongly enforce immigration laws
SOCIAL ISSUES
-Supports a ban on all abortions after 20 weeks (including cases of rape and incest, the only exception being danger to the mother’s life)
MARRIAGE EQUALITY
-Wants to pass a Constitutional Amendment to overturn the SCOTUS marriage equality ruling
CLIMATE CHANGE
-No clear stance, but he has proposed decentralizing the EPA to the responsibility of individual states
-Has opposed the Obama administration’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions from the energy industries
GUN RIGHTS
-Strong supporter of the Second Amendment
-Has eliminated several gun control laws while governor of Wisconsin
MARIJUANA
-Opposes legalization but likely to just leave it to the states
CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM
-History of being tough on crime and is unlikely to embrace as much criminal justice reform as some of the other GOP candidates and the Democratic candidates
