Politics are confusing. With a playing field this big, it’s hard to know where each of the 2016 presidential candidates stands on the issues.

But the choices these rich old people make directly impact the country we live in, so it’s important to be informed about who you’ll vote for when the election rolls around in November of 2016.

That’s where we come in.

No frills, no bias and no bullshit. Just the issues and where each candidate stands.

Carly Fiorina’s Platform

EXPERIENCE: Former AT&T executive; CEO of Hewlett-Packard from 1999 to 2005; adviser to Senator John McCain during his campaign for president in 2008; ran a failed challenge against incumbent Senator Barbara Boxer (D-California)

ECONOMY
-Opposes minimum wage increases
-Called for extending the Bush-era tax cuts, ending the estate tax and creating more tax cuts for small businesses.
-Says that layoffs in a recession are necessary for corporate health (As CEO of HP, she laid off about 30,000 workers during the recession.)

CORPORATE ISSUES
-Strongly opposes “crony capitalism”
-Wants to end the Export-Import Bank

GOVERNMENT SIZE
-Supports a smaller government
-Wants to abolish earmarks and reduce federal salaries

OBAMACARE
-Wants to repeal Obamacare; she calls it a “vast legislative overreach” and an example of crony capitalism.
-Advocates a competitive insurance market instead

FOREIGN POLICY
-A strong supporter of Israel; she stated that her first phone call as president would be to Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel to assure them of U.S. support
-Criticizes the “lack of American leadership” in the world
-Claims to know the leaders of the Middle East better than President Obama or Hillary Clinton
-Against a deal with Iran on nuclear power
-Against deals with Russia
-Wants to keep Guantanamo Bay open
-Wants to arm the Kurds to fight ISIS

IMMIGRATION
-Wants a series of bills to reform immigration, but opposes a comprehensive bill
-Supports the DREAM Act

SOCIAL ISSUES:
-Opposed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (2010)

WOMEN’S ISSUES
-States that women are not treated the same as men in the professional setting
-Has said that she thinks the so-called “War on Women” is “shameless, baseless propaganda.”
-Strongly opposes abortion and has said, “Liberals believe that flies are worth protecting but that the life of an unborn child is not.” (Except in cases of rape, incest or when pregnancy endangers the mother’s life.)

SAME-SEX MARRIAGE
-Opposes same-sex marriage
-Defended Indiana’s controversial anti-gay business law
-Does support civil unions and extending full benefits to such unions

CLIMATE CHANGE
-Blames liberal environmentalists for the recent severe drought in California
-Recognizes the threat of climate change, but states the U.S. cannot deal with it alone
0Has stated, “Companies shouldn’t cave in to the demands of climate change activists.”

GUN RIGHTS
-Strong supporter of the Second Amendment
-Opposes any form of gun control
