Rapper RiFF RAFF to Kick off “Neon Black” Tour at High Dive

So far this year, local live music venue High Dive has brought in notable acts like Princess Nokia and Declan McKenna. Next to grace its stage will be rapper RiFF RAFF this Wednesday, Feb. 28. Doors will open at 8 p.m.

The Houston-born rapper will be kicking off his Neon Black Tour in Gainesville, performing along with special guests John Sisco, Poodeezy, and DollaBillaGates.

DJ Afterthought will also be touring with RiFF RAFF to support their collaborative album, “Cool Blue Jewels.” The album, released earlier this month, includes features from Wiz Khalifa and many other up-and-coming rap names.

Known for his comedic rap style and his quirky social media presence, RiFF RAFF is also known under the alias @JODYHiGHROLLER on his various social media accounts. One of the most notable aspects of his social media is that he types in all caps with the exception of the letter “i.”

Currently, he is signed to DJ and producer Diplo’s record label Mad Decent. If not recognizable for his music, RiFF RAFF is definitely memorable with his style. Sporting blonde cornrows, neon clothing, shark-like grills and sleeves of tattoos, his look isn’t one easily forgotten.

In addition to RiFF RAFF’s unmatched persona, concert goers can also expect to hear music from different upcoming rappers like #2STONED, Poodeezy and DollaBillaGates, similar in style and sound to RiFF RAFF.

High Dive’s relaxed and intimate atmosphere allows for up-close, high-energy performances. Break up your workweek, grab a drink at the outside bar and listen to some tunes before the show starts.

Concert lovers won’t want to miss out on RiFF RAFF’s colorful and eccentric first night on tour and of course, the opportunity to see “TiP TOE WiNG iN MY JAWWDiNZ” performed live.
