It was an all-too-familiar scene.
Tobi, for the 15th time and counting, baited me with one of their irresistible and plentiful “50% Off Sitewide Sale!” email blasts. Despite my better judgment and my dwindling post-grad bank account, I still couldn’t resist.
Just one week after my impulsive order, I came home to discover a neat little package of Tobi goodies waiting on my stoop. This particular package included one floral kimono, two cutout crop tops and a “cold shoulder” dress. It also had a label that should have read:

From: Tobi…Gotcha Again, Bitch.
While smothering my shopaholic guilt, I sprinted upstairs to my room and tried on each item.
Lo and behold, my package delivered a mere 20% success rate, making me the proud owner of two Baby Gap tops, a navy potato sack dress and an excessive addition to my kimono collection.
Damn it, Tobi, now what? My online shopping blunder left me with very few options for financial redemption.
1) I could go through the miserable torture of having to send it all back. No. I don’t have the time or patience to repack, print, tape, seal, send and pray it gets there.
2) Stuff the unworn items in a bag along with a few of my barely worn game day dresses from last season and head to Plato’s Closet or Sandy’s Consignment. No. I’m not in the mood to be told that my stuff is “too nice” to sell or not what they’re looking for and then given a measly $12 cash.
3) Hit up the infamous sorority Facebook group that is already filled to the brim with maxis and nude wedges. No. I want to make this transaction sooner rather than later.
