Heartwood Soundstage to Host Second Annual Music Festival

Heartwood Soundstage will be ringing in the success of their second year of existence in the best way they know how—with a massive music festival. With around two dozen musical acts, two stages, a handful of food trucks, a bounce house and various other surprises throughout the day, attendees will get a glimpse into what they’re all about at the venue.
The Heartwood Music Festival will run from noon on February 24 to 2 a.m. on the 25th. The distinguishing feature that sets this venue apart from any other in our area is their unwavering attention to detail.
They’ve spared no expense when it comes to capturing the experience of music in its most raw and dignified form. Artists have the opportunity to take advantage of state-of-the-art, live-recording technology and to work with people who truly know what they’re talking about.
This festival serves as a showcase of the artists that have spent time establishing their sound at Heartwood. The lineup for this year boasts names like The Currys, The Duppies, King Complex, flipturn and Retrolux, to name a few.
“It’s so many artists back to back that you’ll never get bored,” said Dave Melosh, one of the masterminds behind what goes on at Heartwood. “And there isn’t a single mediocre band on the whole lineup; there isn’t anyone who is not amazing.”
He shared that they had around 1,500 people come out to the festival last year. With the way ticket sales are going right now, he doesn’t think it’ll be hard to beat their previous record.
The Heartwood team has designed two distinct environments for the festival. The indoor stage will place emphasis on the intimacy of watching a performance.
“It’s an up-close, living room experience with the band,” Melosh said.
The outdoor stage will allow for bigger crowds and a more high-energy festival feeling. Performances will be staggered throughout the day, so you don’t miss out on any of the acts that you want to see. There will also be a live stream being shown on a giant screen in the main area of the event.

With such diversity and depth in the artist lineup, the venue hopes to encourage collaboration. They value the artistic ideals that every single act is bringing to the table.
One of the core values that Melosh expressed was how they want to show off the way they appreciate the artists that have worked with them over the last few years.
“Perceptions of artists change based on how they’re presented,” he said about the professionalism that drives the work at Heartwood.
Bracher Brown and Cody Doss of King Complex, who will be headlining the outdoor stage, agreed that the one-of-a-kind Heartwood Soundstage accommodates to what they want to do as musicians.
“They treat the artists really well and it’s just a well set up venue,” Brown said.
King Complex will be closing out the night at 12:20 a.m. and it promises to be a performance you’ll want to stick around for. Their high-energy performance style will leave the crowd with something to talk about as they head home.

Artists and attendees alike are traveling from all over the United States to be at the Heartwood Music Festival. People seemed to really dig what the event offered last year, and the 2018 festival should be no different.
