Submerge Yourself in the Dreamy Sounds of Endless Pools

Endless Pools—a Gainesville dream-psych rock band—will be performing their last show at Heartwood Soundstage tonight, July 15th at 7pm. Catch this dreamy surfer band one last time before guitarist Thomas Deaton leaves for Vermont and the group officially parts ways.
Band member Jacob Adams is stoked to perform tonight alongside GUTS. “We want it to be unique and playing at Heartwood allows us to be recorded in video and it’s a really nice intimate room,” says Adams. Adams is the vocalist and the other guitarist.
I asked Adams about his dream-psych rock music and how he would describe it as a food. His answer was mouthwatering.
“A sushi-bagel-hamburger, and its gluten free because of dietary restrictions in our band. It’s got fish and we like the beach,” Adams says.
When listening to their EP, Make Waves, Adam’s lyrics are beachy and whimsical, with an underlying narrative of nostalgia. But what makes this group so unique is the amount of dedication, practice and passion they put into making music.
“We had songs together for a while, and we booked a show with Surfer Blood. We wanted to have something to give people so we recorded everything ourselves in about two weeks,” Adams explains.
Adams started taking music lessons in high school. He never stopped playing, especially when he traveled to the 352. He’s thankful for people coming out to shows and appreciates all the love and support from Gainesville music scene.
Adams has many fond memories with his bandmates, and his all-time favorite moment was during a “micro-tour” in Tampa. “We just did a micro-tour in Tampa and I accidentally said ‘fuck’ on a live recording that was on the air,” Adams admits.
“I said it was a ripping fucking guitar solo on the radio and it didn’t get bleeped.”
Check out these dreamy rockers one last time at Heartwood Soundstage, Saturday, July 15th. Doors open at 7pm and tickets can be bought here.
