Who said Christmas Eve had to be spent in the kitchen? The upscale, quaint and elegant Paramount Grill is hosting a Christmas three course meal.

Chef and owner Clif Nelson will be serving up delectable dishes like shrimp cocktail, seared Moroccan spiced tuna steak, veal meatloaf and a fresh berry walnut tart.

Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolate

Nothing pairs quite as well as the holiday season and a piping hot drink in a cozy cafe.

At Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolate, they’ve taken a unique approach to holiday drinks and food. Trade in your typical peppermint mocha or pumpkin spice latte for Volta’s Winter Solstice tea.

This black tea bursts with flavors of peppermint, clove and cinnamon. Pair it with a seasonal chocolate Santa or a Pistachio and raspberry Xmas bar and it is sure to be a holiday delight.

Leonardo’s 706

Paramount Grill is not the only restaurant in Gainesville hosting a classy holiday bash. Leonardo’s 706 will be full of mouth-watering pairings on New Years Eve.

The five course meal will start at 7 pm on Dec. 31st and will be an elegant way to ring in the new year. This event will also include a wine tasting, featuring five different wines to go with each course. Caviar, filet mignon, grouper and chocolate soufflé are are featured on this festive menu, along with several other options.

Dec. 31, 7 pm; Reservations are priced at $100 per person.

Fishhawk Spirits 

When you’re looking for a boozy holiday drink, Fishhawk Spirits has got you covered. Known for selling bottles of high quality farm to table spirits, Fishhawk offers a fine selection of hand-crafted drinks.

Fishhawk will be featuring a holiday inspired mixed drink using a tangerine spirit (Marion Black 106), simple syrup and apple bitters with a cinnamon sugar rim. Another merry addition to your holiday shenanigans is spiked eggnog.
