#LaunchTheScene: Your Grub and Drink Roundup

No matter the obscure craving, Gainesville’s food and drink scene never fails to satisfy. On Thursday, November 17th, a handful of our local favorites will be gathering at Depot Park in celebration of GainesvilleScene’s launch and change in ownership.
Stop by to sample some grub and complimentary brews from the local names that have come to define Hogtown’s finest fare.
Cilantro Tacos
Known for serving up Mexican fare worth traveling for, this family-owned restaurant on wheels dishes up picture-perfect tacos, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas and nachos. Prepared with fresh ingredients and salsa made from scratch, Cilantro has become a local favorite at the Union Street Farmers Market.
Daily Green
Daily Green has got you covered for quick, guilt-free and mouth-watering eats. This quaint local gem serves up locally-sourced and organic fare. With a rotating menu to reflect the freshest ingredients available, Daily Green conjures up inventive vegan and vegetarian dishes. Located in the historic mid 1900s building that housed one of the oldest restaurants in Florida, Daily Green has become a timeless, feel-good staple of Gainesville’s food scene.
Cookiegazm
We’ve all found ourselves in desperate need of sweets and overcome with laziness at a less-than-admirable time of night. Created by UF students with presumably similar needs, Cookiegazm delivers warm, freshly-baked cookies that satisfy your sweet tooth.
First Magnitude Brewing Company
First Magnitude Brewing is known for its artful approach to craft brewing and ever-growing community presence. The brewery, which aims to promote the conservation of the freshwater springs after which it was named, will be providing refreshing free pours at the event.
Humble Wood Fire
Few things rival pizza on wheels. Humble Wood Fire, formerly called Humble Pie, dishes up artisan pizzas and calzones baked at 1000 degrees in their handmade, mobile wood-fired oven. With dough and sauces made from scratch, Humble Wood uses organic and local ingredients to keep their rotating menu as fresh as their eats.
