Your Spring Break Dance Party: Moon Hooch at High Dive

Moon Hooch’s traveling dance party makes its stop in the 352 this Wednesday at High Dive before they play the much anticipated Okeechobee Music Festival.
Moon Hooch began in subway stations in New York City, playing what they refer to as “impromptu raves”, which is pretty much what every Moon Hooch show since has embodied. “Wherever Moon Hooch plays,” the band claims, “a dance party is soon to follow.”
The jazz band is not your average coffee shop beat. Moon Hooch takes jazz music and pumps it full of electricity and magic and then bumps it just as loud as it can go. The product is a cross between jazz, electronic and pop music. The experience, though, is what will make fans feel connected and alive.
A “typical” Moon Hooch show is not typical whatsoever. The Moon Hooch trio combines drums, saxophones and electronic beats to create a musical love child that is beyond any jazz music your grandpa may have introduced you to. The beats are incredible and alive in a way that typical jazz music never truly brings. Moon Hooch brings life and joy through every note they play. The sounds are wavering and rambunctious, but make you feel like letting your hair down and dancing the night away.
Moon Hooch plays music that speaks to the soul, and they know it too. Their music isn’t just one that you play while relaxing in your room on a Tuesday, it is music to dance along with and feel alive to. If you’re a jazz fan, you’ll love Moon Hooch. If you’re a pop fan, you’ll love Moon Hooch. If you’re just down for a damn good time, you will love Moon Hooch.
Put on your boogie shoes, bring your funkiest friends, and head over for the best dance party you’ve had outside of your bedroom.
Doors open at High Dive at 7 p.m. Grab your tickets here.
