There are two approaches to spending your time in Gainesville:

You can complain that “there’s nothing to do” and drown your sorrows in a 3-4-1 Long Island at Midtown every night, or you can embrace your precious time here in Hogtown and go explore.

Every week Culture Shock provides you with a few of the best happenings in the city that don’t involve blacking out, Study Edge or Netflix binging.

Gainesville, it’s time to culture yourself

FOOD + DRINK

3rd Anniversary of the Original Gainesville Food Truck Rally

Where: High Dive

When: Saturday, January 30. Event begins at 5 p.m. and band starts at 7 p.m.

Why: Does food served out of trucks feed your foodie soul? Do live local bands make your heart flutter? Does supporting a philanthropy loose your good karma? Not to mention GainesvilleGrub is sponsoring the entire event, so stop by, say hi, and eat till you’re stuffed (then eat some more). BTW, it’s completely free to enter.
