Why: Indulge your high school stoner side by checking out this famous Sublime tribute band. What better does Gville have to offer on Tuesday nights? Plus, High Dive has $1 PBR tall boys!
ARTS + ENTERTAINMENT
42nd Street Live musical
Where: Phillips Center
When: Tuesday, January 19, 7:30
Why: This musical has recently been revived, adding new elements to a story that’s been around for more than 70 years. Students can check out this theatrical favorite for $20.
FOOD + DRINK
Coffee Check
Where: Volta Coffee
When: Every Saturday at 11 a.m.
Why: Become the coffee connoisseur you’ve always boasted about becoming. They’ll teach you cupping protocol to be able to evaluate the aroma and taste components of coffee, and you can help them figure out what coffees make it on the menu.
SUSTAINABILITY
Green Caffeine
Where: Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolate
When: Wednesday, January 20th . 8:15-9:15.
Why: Get insight into the Master Plan for sustainability and natural resource maintenance of the city of Gainesville’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department. A must for staying educated and involved with Gainesville’s natural resources and how they’re handled.
