James Franco, the ultimate wildcard.
From nude selfies to comedic hijinks, James Franco is a certified enigma. Though he carries on a fraught relationship with the media, the general public has somehow managed to scurry around and gather random facts about the 36-year-old actor.
Thanks to the miracle that is the camera phone, we all know he’s snoozed in a college class. (Stars, they’re just like us!)

He did a kick-ass job in Harmony Korine’s “Spring Breakers,” leading conspiracy theorists (i.e. me) to suspect he may have skinned Houston rapper Riff Raff and then inhabited his body for the role of Alien.

He used to grace a drive-thru window as a McDonalds employee in his early 20s, making it the only time in history that eating fake beef was worth it.
He pulled a fast one on Gucci by becoming the face of their fragrance, Made to Measure, years after running a cologne-stealing ring with friends in high school.
And he’s nevertheless a walking mystery.
Franco’s life is an elaborate performance art piece we all gaze at, pretending to understand. In reality, we’re all just turning our heads and grunting huh? in unison.
But fear not. The mystery may be solved just yet when Franco comes to the O’Connell Center this Wednesday, Feb. 25, courtesy of ACCENT Speakers Bureau and UF Student Government.O’Connell Center
The presentation will include a moderated conversation between Franco and Mike Foley, resident rockstar of the UF department of journalism and former executive editor of the St. Petersburg Times. Following the conversation will be a Q & A session, where audience members will have the opportunity to pose all of their burning questions.
The event is free and open to the public and seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
You really don’t want to miss this.
